Saturday 10.00 – 11.00 at The Guildhall, Room 019

Kicking off the festival main events are Costa award-winners Bryan and Mary Talbot as they talk about the books they’ve done together and what the graphic novel form brings to their storytelling.

Talking about their collaborative work to date, they demonstrate the power of the graphic novel to communicate complex material in an accessible way. Emotionally charged biographical details, tangled historical events or the contemporary challenges of climate change – whatever the subject, the graphic novel’s unique combination of word and image can render it compelling.

The audience will also be able to find out about the couple’s new work together, on the forthcoming book, RAIN.

You can find out more about this new book here: https://www.mary-talbot.co.uk/graphic-novels/rain/
