Saturday 16.00 – 17.00 at The Guildhall, Room 019

Join our host BBC Radio Shropshire’s Film critic Carl Jones along with special guests, Andy Diggle and Greg Staples as they discuss the phenomenon of the comic book adaptation, which is now the biggest thing in Hollywood, spawning massive box office hits like the recent Avengers: Endgame.

The Marvel movie juggernaut shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

However some comic book adaptations have not done so well.

Both guests have had experience in the world of film from different viewpoints.: Andy Diggle’s Losers comics were adapted into a Hollywood movie starring Chris Evans and Jeffery Dean Morgan and Greg Staples worked on the new Hellboy movie.

We find out about their experiences in the film world and ask the question: Is this the Endgame of Comic book Movies? Or will they continue to rake in the big bucks.
